On November 19th, Germany remembers and mourns the casualties of war and violence from all nations on Volkstrauertag – Remembrance Day. Last year, more than 300 guests were present. Among them were guests from all over Europe and many different age groups. They attended in the spirit of the German War Graves Commission: Reconciliation over the graves – work for peace.

We were grateful for every participant and invite you, your family and acquaintances to join us on Volkstrauertag this year as well!

We kindly ask you to inform us in due time and before 14 November about your participation by sending an e-mail to jbs-lommel@volksbund.de, by telephone or by letter, stating your name, position/organization, the number of participants (including yourself) and whether you would like to lay a wreath (please have it delivered before 12.30 pm).

Sincerely,

Erik De Muynck, honorary colonel and representative of the Volksbund in Belgium
