In July, the youth and meeting centre Huis Over Grenzen in Lommel opens a new outdoor exhibition titled Women@War.
The photo exhibition chooses a somewhat unusual point of view. The central motif: the role and actions of women during the Second World War. Selected biographies of women buried in Lommel are used to illustrate the complexity of the topic. Large photo panels arranged in a circle bring the stories, which can be read in the accompanying brochure, to life. A look at the war from a woman’s perspective.
