What do a German soldier from World War II, a Syrian refugee, a Holocaust survivor and an African child soldier have in common? Not much perhaps, at first glance. But could there be more to it than meets the eye? Participants will explore as much as possible the areas of overlap and the differences between the people and the conflicts in both the past and the present. During various reflective activities, young people explore what human rights can mean in the lives of others, but also in their own. What if agreements that we take for granted nowadays in Western Europe would not be respected?
